Rex wrapped up a whirlwind summer touring season with concerts and clinics in eight countries over fifteen weeks!
In May he traveled to France and Austria with events in Paris, Bordeaux and Vienna; all clinics were under the auspices of Yamaha Europe.
In June he was the guest artist at the Interlochen Trumpet Institute, before heading to Sweden for the Blekinge International Brass Academy.
From Sweden he proceeded to Spain, to perform and teach at the Spanish Brass' Alizira Festival.
After a brief period back at home, he returned to Europe for the Italian Brass Week (Florence) and Lieksa Brass Week (Finland) festivals, before continuing to Korea for the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival, where he performed as soloist and served as adjudicator. This was followed by an event for Yamaha Korea in Seoul, before retuning to the U.S. for a much-needed, nearly two-month long break from touring.
